The Quinsam River Hatchery, operated by Fisheries and Oceans Canada, offers a unique look at West Coast salmon and local conservation efforts year-round.
Admission is free, making it a popular spot for visitors to observe salmon in various life stages—especially dramatic during the fall spawning run, when thousands of fish return to the river.
With educational displays and designated viewing areas, the hatchery is both informative and family-friendly.
Scenic walking trails along the Quinsam River add to the experience, providing amazing opportunities for wildlife viewing (bears & eagles) and a peaceful connection to Campbell River’s natural beauty.
