The Tyee Club’s season opener is coming up on July 15th, and it’s a big day for local anglers!
If you’re interested in learning more about the club and its operations, head over to the clubhouse, located at the Spit, where they’re happy to share info with the public.
On opening day, fishing kicks off at first light, with anglers ready to drop their lines. Many will stay out there well into the night, making the most of the start of the season.
You’ll notice several boats heading out on July 15th, marking the end of the chinook non-retention period, meaning folks can finally reel in some salmon to take home.
The pool is open from July 15th until September 15th, so there’s plenty of time to get involved.
