Join Campbell River’s Tour Operators & Visitor Destinations in celebrating the start of the Tourism Season and Oceans Week.
Experience the fantastic Tours and Activities that make Campbell River a top tourist destination.

Whale/Wildlife Watching Tours – 10am to 3pm
On this special day, local operators at the Estuary & Spit, Discovery Harbour Marina, Coast Marina, and the Airport will be offering Free or Discounted Whale/Wildlife Watching Tours (30-45 mins).
There’s also opportunities for Kayaking, Cycling, Paddle Boarding, and Helicopter Rides. The event will run from 10am to 3pm on a first come, first serve basis. Sign up in person to secure your spot.
Ken Forde Park – Willow Point
- Selfie photo with Drift the Whale for the chance to win a whale watching tour
- Unveiling of the Whale Trail
- Salmon BBQ
- Paddleboard races with Island Life Expeditions at 3pm
- Paddleboard rentals from 11am
- Celebration of Canadian Culture with beach fires, yard games, guitars, and smores
Campbell River Photo Hunt – 10am – 6pm
- Hosted by What’s On Digest Events.
- Register through Eventbrite for your map, challenges and clues. Cost: $20
CR Golf Course – Velocity Driving Range
Test your skills with a “nearest to the pin” challenge and win.
Free to play from 10am – 5pm.

- Kite Flying and Kids activities – 11am – 4pm
- Concert by the Sea & Beer Garden by Session – 4pm – 10pm
- Comedy Show on the main stage – 7pm – 10pm
- Community Foundation Fundraiser – 4pm – 10pm (proceeds from the beer garden)
Spirit Square – 10am – 4pm
The Art Gallery will be hosting a T-shirt painting activity.
Shoppers Row – 10am – 4pm
Live Art Stations will be set up at outdoor patios featuring local artists. Businesses will offer reduced or featured summer products.
Maritime Heritage Centre – 10am – 5pm
- Celebration of MHC’s 20th anniversary with various events
- Kids’ activities and special tours in the aquarium
- Vendor Tables in the Parking lot
Ocean Week Treats & Cocktails
- Stonehouse Teas Whale Pastries and signature ice teas at various locations
- Dockside Whale Tail Donuts served in store and various locations
- Emma’s Bakery serving fun Whale & Ocean treats in Ken Forde Park
- Anchor Inn shucking Oysters on the Deck with a Signature Cocktail
- Restaurants and Cafes creating their own seasonal signature treats
