Guided Hike to Ripple Rock

August 12 @ 9:30 am 3:00 pm

$7 – $15

The Museum at Campbell River is hosting their last guided hike of the season along the Ripple Rock trail.

This 8 km round-trip hike hugs the coast of Menzies Bay and Nymph Cove, with stops along the way to dig into the area’s past.

The group will pause at certain spots to talk about everything from Indigenous plant uses to old school logging days, as well as the big explosion that made Ripple Rock famous back in 1958.

The hike finishes with a view at the Ripple Rock lookout — you can pack your own picnic lunch and enjoy it with a sweeping view across the water.

After lunch, you’re free to walk back at your own pace.

The whole thing should take about 4.5 to 5 hours and is best for folks who don’t mind a little up and down on the trail… but nothing wild.
