Indigenous People Day Celebrations

June 21 @ 8:00 am 5:00 pm

Campbell River marks National Indigenous Peoples Day on Sunday, June 21, 2026, with a full day of community events.

Kick off with a Father’s Day Breakfast at the Community Centre from 8-11am. Opening ceremonies and a cultural performance follow at the CR Big House from 10-11:30am.

At 11:30am, everyone is invited to join the march to Robert Ostler Park.

Lunch will be served 12-1:30pm, then the afternoon opens up for families… face painting, Bounce O Ramas, kids games, craft sales, demos, and hands-on crafting.

Expect live entertainment through the afternoon until about 4:30pm 🎶.

Closing ceremonies run 4:40-5pm. It’s a relaxed, welcoming day to learn, connect, and celebrate the cultures that shape this place 🌞.

Bring water, a hat, and a little cash if you plan to browse the crafts. If you’re coming with kids, plan for a few hours and pick a meeting spot in case you get split up 🎨.
