If you’re into music that’s hard to put in a box, ES:MO is worth checking out.
This duo is made up of Elizabeth Shepherd and Michael Occhipinti—two musicians with a serious knack for taking jazz, pop, folk, and just about anything else and blending it into something totally new.
They’ve racked up a pile of JUNO nominations (19 between them!) and keep things fresh with every show. 🎶
Michael is known for moving between styles, so one minute you might hear a delicate jazz line and the next something with a funky or global twist.
His guitar skills have put him beside big names and orchestras, but here it’s all about bouncing ideas off Elizabeth, who’s known for her creative songwriting.
Tickets are $30, and it all happens at the Rivercity Stage. If you’re in the mood for a relaxed evening with some unpredictable music, this is a good bet.
