Earth Day in Campbell River

April 22 All day

Earth Day has been around for over 50 years, starting back in 1970 in the United States.

It was created as a way to bring attention to environmental issues like pollution and the need to protect natural spaces. People all over the world mark Earth Day every April 22.

What started as a mostly American movement is now global, with millions getting involved through everything from tree plantings to beach clean-ups.

Many schools, organizations, and local groups use the day as a chance to educate, run community projects, or just encourage small, everyday actions that make a difference over time. 🌍🌱
