Annual Events & Festivals in Campbell River, BC

If you are planning a trip to Campbell River, it’s helpful to know what sort of festivals and events you can expect to find while you are here. Also, it’s easy to loose track of events even as a local resident!

It’s also helpful for businesses looking for sponsorship opportunities or vendor information.

So, I’ve put together this quick list of annual events and things to do in/around Campbell River:

Polar Bear Swim – Jan 1st at Saratoga Beach.

Spring Fair & Carnival by West Coast Amusements – generally in April each year and held on reserve land at various locations.

Spring Home Show – May, usually at Strathcona Gardens or the Community Centre.

Loop Day – Early June: wear green and walk or bike ride around the 28km greenway loop around town.

Rock, Gem & Mineral Show – Early summer at the Community Centre

Driftwood Carving Competition (Transformations on the Shore) – Late June

Campbell River Pride – Late June or early July. Generally held downtown at Ostler Park or Spirit Square, with smaller events happening around town.

Annual Artisans Festival – Over Labour Day long weekend at Kitty Coleman Woodland gardens.

Show ‘n Shine Classic Car Show – Labour Day long weekend – this year it will be held on August 30th – 31st, 2025.
