The Tyee Spit (also known as just The Spit, or Dick Murphy Park) is a nice place to take a scenic walk in Campbell River.
It’s also where you’ll find the historic Tyee Club and many driftwood carvings and sculptures from local artists.

History of Tyee Spit
Tyee Spit, originally known as ʔuxstalis (pronounced Oox-sta-lease), was home to the Liǧʷiłdax̌ʷ (pronounced Lee-gweeth-dowkh) people.
Today it is a popular park among locals and home to some amazing sculptures.
