The Shoebox Project for Women is back for another season in Campbell River and the North Island!

Once again they will be collecting and delivering gift-filled Shoeboxes valuing $50 for local women in need.

2024 Holiday Shoebox Drive Details

This year, the Shoebox Project is aiming to bring smiles and warmth to over 600 women across Campbell River, Port Hardy, and the North Island.

Drop off dates are from November 12th to Friday December 6th.

Each shoebox should hold items worth $50, suggestions include: a $10 gift card, essential daily items, a few small luxuries, something to keep warm, and a touching, inspirational note.

Lori Hirst and Mhari Church (Santa) from the Transition Society, and Alison Skrepneck local Shoebox Project Coordinator.

How to Contribute

Donors can drop off their shoeboxes at designated locations, from Nov 12th to Dec 6th:

In Campbell River:

📦Coastal Community Credit Union (Discovery Harbour)
📦La Tee Da Lingerie (Shoppers Row)
📦Classy Katz Consignment (Willow Point)

In Port Hardy:

📦North Island Crisis & Counselling Centre Society

For those who prefer to support virtually, there are plenty of options available. You can create a virtual shoebox, make an online donation to the local chapter, or even get your company involved. Fundraising or hosting a “Shoebox-Raiser” are also great ways to contribute.

100% of donations directly support local women affected by homelessness, helping to purchase gift cards and necessary items. Each contribution, no matter the form, is a heartfelt gesture that makes a real difference.
