Mushroom Foraging for Beginners
September 19 & 20 or 26 & 27 | $50

This beginner-friendly course is perfect for people who’ve always wanted to try mushroom foraging but never had the confidence to start.
We’ll begin with an indoor session, then head into the field for hands-on experience. By the end, you’ll have the foundational knowledge to begin your own foraging adventures safely and responsibly.
In October, there will also be a forage + cooking class in the field, stay tuned!

Intro to Fly Fishing
September 8 – October 20 | $300

Learn from instructor Nicolas Pisterzi, creator of the Carihi Fly Fishing program and former coach of the Canadian National Youth Fly Fishing team. This comprehensive course covers casting, fly tying, knots, water safety, and conservation practices for both trout and salmon fishing.
The program thoughtfully mixes indoor classes with a river walk (October 6th) and casting practice at McIvor Lake (October 20th). No equipment required – just bring your curiosity!
Car Care 101
Thursday, September 25 | $45

NIC Automotive instructor Jaylene van der Merwe brings 15 years of industry experience to this practical one-day course. You’ll learn what dashboard lights mean, understand vehicle systems, practice checking fluids and tire pressures, and master essential emergency procedures like dealing with flat tires.
The hands-on component and Q&A session will give you confidence to communicate effectively with mechanics and handle basic maintenance.
Beginner Tai Chi
Mondays, September 8 to November 17 | $40

This accessible program combines slow, deliberate movements with meditation and breathwork. Perfect for all fitness levels, you’ll improve circulation, balance, and energy while learning movements you can practice anywhere.
No experience necessary – just $40 for 10 sessions of Monday morning zen.
