Discover footprints of tyrannosaurs and ankylosaurs, marvel at stunningly preserved marine fossils, and meet ‘Buster,’ the ferrisaurus that hails from BC. 🤩🐾

The Vancouver Island Paleontological Society will be present all day, ready to enlighten visitors about the fascinating world of fossils.

You’ll learn how to differentiate between a fossil and a rock, with local samples available for hands-on learning experiences.

Bring your own discoveries for a unique fossil Show and Tell!

Adding to the fun, the Ripple Rock Gem and Mineral Club will showcase a guest appearance by Duncan Johannessen, a seasoned geologist from the University of Victoria.

He will be on hand to answer questions about rocks, gems, and fossils. Don’t miss the open house, extensive fossil displays, and more that the museum has to offer.

This promises to be a memorable day filled with learning and exploration for all ages.
