June 10 @ 11:00 am – 1:00 pm
Today is a perfect day to visit the beach and explore tidepools with extra-low tide during daylight.
Over the next week, plan a trip for late morning / early afternoon at Willow Point Reef. 🦀
Expect very low tides between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., dropping to their lowest around noon on June 11th.
Discover anemones, sea cucumbers, starfish, chitons, crabs, eels, and more. This is a fun opportunity for curious kids and nature-loving adults to enjoy a day by the shore. 🌞
Tips:
🐚 For tidepool adventures, aim for low tides. The lowest tides usually occur around the full moon and offer the best opportunities to observe the most species.
🦀 Dress well. Gumboots or watershoes are best.
⏰ Tides come in fast. Set an alert on your watch incase you lose track of time.
