Hi, my name is Toni. I moved to Campbell River in 2001. I quickly fell in love with the town, and raised my 3 kids here.
I founded CampbellRiverNow.com back in 2002 as a hobby site to help promote my design services and the businesses of family and friends.
I set up the first online directory for Campbell River’s community organizations and businesses and also published resources about fishing, visitor info, and recreation.
The site ran until 2017, but was put on hold for a few years when I took a full-time position as the webmaster, marketing specialist & general manager for an international website publishing company; a fun experience that allowed me to travel and work on some of the largest websites in the world.
Now, I’m back. And so is CampbellRiverNow.com — the intention is the same: to be the best online resource and guide to Campbell River residents and visitors.
How does this site make money?
It doesn’t!
Currently, CampbellRiverNow.com is just a labour of love.
I do hope to monetize the site eventually, but also plan on staying away from annoying advertising that gets in the way of the content.
